Overview
Flasher

Like a pearl in a shell is the small village, Muggardt, hidden between forest and vineyards on the sunny foot hills of the southern Black Forest, with a view of the Rhine valley and the Vosges across the Rhine in France.  It is known as the warmest region in Germany.  The subtropical  climate, and the fertile ground, are perfect to grow an excellent wine as well as tasty fruit and vegetables.

Just as perfect is the area around Muggardt for nature lovers, mountain bikers, and hikers who like to enjoy the fresh air and countless forest and vineyard trails.

Driving through the villages along the "Badische Weinstrasse" between Muellheim and Staufen, a visitor can find cozy restaurants and drinking places that offer great food and fine local wine.  Many of the specialties are home made from self grown and self produced products.  They are usually reasonably priced.

It is the goal of this website to present to the new visitor not only Muggardt, but mainly the area around Muggardt, which is so unique in Germany.
